Recent Hamilton students who have applied to dental school have had excellent success in the admissions process as well as successful careers in dental medicine.
Students preparing for a career in dental medicine are encouraged to plan their courses early in their first year of college. Careful planning will allow students to major in any discipline they choose, study abroad, and complete the pre-requisite courses in time to apply the fall of their senior year.

Quick Facts

  • Dental schools require extensive volunteer and clinical work so students are encouraged to use their summer and January breaks to gain clinical experience.
  • The Dental Admissions Test (DAT) is the standard test for admission to dental school.
  • Applying is done through the ADEA American Dental Schools application Service (AADSAS) application, which is available in June.
