The Role of the Alumni Council and Regional Associations

The Alumni Council and the alumni associations at the regional level work to promote more immediate and recurring interaction among and between alumni and the various constituencies of the College to:

  • provide alumni meaningful opportunities to interact with one another socially and professionally;
  • provide alumni greater roles in the present and future of the College;
  • leverage alumni knowledge, experience and talents for their own enjoyment, education and benefit, as well as that of the students, faculty and administration;
  • increase alumni affiliation with the College;
  • increase alumni understanding of College’s strategy and efforts to advance that strategy;
  • obtain alumni advice and counsel for the College;
  • increase involvement with Alumni Council activities and committees;
  • expand internships for and mentoring interactions with students and alumni;
  • assist with student recruitment in non-traditional locales and demographic sectors;
  • increase faculty exposure to national and regional media and decision-makers.
