| 10 a.m. ROB STROUD ’69, P’03’s BIG BIKE TREK See location details in the description Rob Stroud ’69, P’03 is taking the long way to reunion: he is biking from his home in Madison, Wis., to Clinton. (A ferry across Lake Michigan will spare him the ride around Chicago.) The trip, just under 1,000 miles, will include President David Wippman and a few opportunities for you to join Rob closer to campus: in Syracuse on Wednesday night, or on Thursday morning at Turning Stone (10 miles out) and/or The Skenandoa Golf and Pool Club (1 mile out). He will arrive on campus approximately in the early afternoon. Be at KJ Circle to cheer him on at the finish line and congratulate him on his amazing achievement! |

In the Munson auditorium after the tour, Susan Hartman K’74 will discuss her book City of Refugees, about the refugee population in Utica. Attendees will enjoy a tented, al-fresco lunch buffet catered by Yummilicious Cafe, which is owned by Mersiha Omeragic, one of the refugees featured in Susan's book. |

| 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. CLASS OF 1964 ALUMNI COLLEGE: ED DECI ’64 & THE MONHEGAN MUSEUM: A LOVE STORY Kirner-Johnson 202 Ed Deci ’64 will talk about the film, Ed Deci and the Monhegan Museum: A Love Story. The film aired on Maine public television in the summer of 2023. Monhegan Island Museum has artifacts going back 5000 years and art going back 160 years. This combination of artists and fishermen is unique and inspired by Ed, with the support of the islanders, to create a world-class museum. He will recount how he did it, and how the film incorporates reflections about his efforts from artists Jamie Wyeth, Jenn Pye, and Linda Bean. |

He will offer a short presentation on the book, followed by a book signing. His new work analyzes the fundamentally contradictory nature of the American Communist Party movement. In addition to Reds, copies of some of his previous books, including On the Hill, the official bicentennial history of Hamilton College, will be available for purchase and signing. |

All participants should arrive at the Parade Start on Dunham Green (near Blood Fitness Center) and look for signs with your class year. Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. Class banners will be delivered to each class by 9:50 a.m. and will be carried by members of your class walking at the front of the group. Rain or shine, we march at 10 a.m.! The parade will end at the Chapel for the Annual Meeting of the Alumni Association/Half-Century Annalist Letters beginning at 11 a.m. |

| 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. CLASS OF 1979 ALUMNI COLLEGE: THE SUPREME COURT'S DECISION IN 303 CREATIVE V. ELENIS — A COLLISION BETWEEN FREE SPEECH AND LGBTQ+ RIGHTS? Kirner-Johnson 201 Reprising his legal role from the 40th reunion, Michael J. Grygiel ’79, P’23 will dissect this crucial Supreme Court case. Last June, in the 303 Creative v. Elenis case, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act could not compel the plaintiff (303 Creative LLC) to design wedding websites for same-sex couples because it would violate her First Amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom to exercise religion. Mike will examine how the court's widely publicized and controversial decision is both destabilizing and threatening to long-accepted principles of equality, fairness, and inclusion. The Class of 1989 may be especially interested in hearing from their one-time First Amendment and constitutional law teacher. |

Stop by and hear their fascinating family connection to the famous composer, who was also an artist, art collector, and early champion of jazz music and musicians. They will share more information about the July session they have designed for Chautauqua in honor of Gershwin and the 100th anniversary of "Rhapsody in Blue," a documentary trailer about Gershwin that features interviews with their mother, and much more. |

When you think of the last 40 years, what is the most significant story about your life? What have you experienced or learned since you left the Hill that changed your perspective? How has the meaning of what you do and who you spend time with changed over the years?
