Signature Programs

Career Explo

These off-campus half-day events, hosted a few times a year, give students the opportunity to explore a particular industry. Students who attend learn invaluable information about the industries, networking, and landing career-related experience from a diverse group of participating alumni. Past Career Explos have been hosted in NYC and have featured industries such as finance, education, communications, film and television, and publishing.

How I Got My Internship

These lunches, hosted every couple weeks, provide an opportunity to learn from a panel of fellow students. The student speakers summarize their experience, provide insight into how they got started, and  give tips and strategies for the industry in which they interned. Past topics have included education, sciences, finance, government, public health, communications, nonprofit, and business.

Linkedin Photobooth

This event, held a few times a year, gives students the opportunity to get a professional headshot taken, learn how to start or improve your profile, and how to leverage the LInkedIn platform. Students can also use this time to ask questions of Peer Advisors and Presenters and sign up for upcoming workshops and programs. This also serves as a low-key social event, so feel free to swing by to grab some food and chat.

Interview Mojo

This event, hosted twice a year, provides an opportunity for juniors and seniors to hear from a panel and participate in practice interviews with alumni, area business leaders, and members of the Hamilton community. During this intensive session, students practice answering common interview questions, receive feedback on their skills, and learn about resources and services to continue improving their interview skills.

In addition, the Career Center collaborates with other offices to host Networking Receptions, as well as Career Speakers and Panels periodically throughout the year.
