The Philosophy Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure track position in philosophy to begin July 1, 2014.
The teaching load is five courses per year. AOS: Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy; AOC: Open. Completion of the dissertation by time of appointment is expected. Candidates should submit a letter of application, CV, and teaching materials, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you could further the College’s goal of building a diverse educational environment. Previous experience teaching or working with diverse student populations is an asset. Teaching materials should include evaluations and sample syllabi for three possible courses in Social and Political Philosophy or Ethics at different levels (i.e., introductory, mid-level, advanced).
