The day the Senate passed a possible blueprint for President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID relief plan, Marketplace broadcast an appropriately timed interview with Ann Owen, the Henry Platt Bristol Professor of Economics. The segment addressed the question, how much control do presidents really have over the economy?

Assistant Professor of Government Erica De Bruin, author of How to Prevent Coups d'État, has been quoted extensively in the national media in the lead up to and in the aftermath of the assault on the Capitol. The primary question directed to her has been, “Is this a coup?”
