The Hamilton College Choir and College Hill Singers, directed by Professor of Music Danan Tsan, will lead a Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m., in the Hamilton College Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Assistant Professor of Music Jace Saplan, director of choral activities and vocal studies, along with choral program student leaders, presented a paper at the NY6 Spectrum Conference on March 23 at Colgate University.

The Hamilton choir’s annual spring break tour took on a new element this year with volunteer community service work in addition to choral performances.

The Hamilton College Choir will present a send-off concert for its annual spring break tour on Wednesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m, in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

As a high school senior Kelsey Brush ’20 was interested in music education as a possible career, but she wasn’t ready to commit her life to it. She had too many interests to explore, so instead of a conservatory, she went for Hamilton and its open curriculum.

The Music Department will present the home concert of the Hamilton College Choir’s Italian tour on Friday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

The 64-member College Choir with Professor of Music and Choir Director Rob Kolb are on a 10-day spring break tour of Italy. Choir member Kate Brouns ’17 has been reporting on the group’s travels. After performances in Rome, Florence and Ravenna, the final stop was Venice.

Hamilton students are heading back to campus with tales about their spring break adventures. But there’s no time for a post spring break letdown because college calendar is loaded with lectures, performances and events from now until the end of the semester.
