  • If the international law seminar had to be taught remotely, which it unexpectedly did, the professor was determined to make the most of it. Turning to his professional connections, he secured three distinguished guests with experience directly related to issues students had studied.

  • Chelsea Wiggins is a 2012 Hamilton graduate who majored in English literature and minored in French during her time on the Hill. She interned at places such as the Environmental Law Institute, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the U.S. House of Representatives. Following graduation, she also worked at places such as the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) and the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She currently acts as Counsel at the National Abortion Federation.

  • Stephanie Ryder graduated from Hamilton in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in government. She played on the women’s ice hockey team and was a member of the women’s rugby club. She attended the University of Colorado Law school from 2011 to 2014 and currently serves as a deputy district attorney in the Denver area.

  • Evan Klondar graduated from Hamilton in 2011 with a degree in public policy and is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. Since graduation, Evan has worked as a commercial consultant in the private sector but recently transitioned to the public sector. He currently works as a senior consultant for Deloitte.

  • On day one of his internship in the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office, his supervisor meted out an unvarnished observation about a law career. “If you like this,” the supervisor told Federico Romero ’22, “this is what you’ll do. If you don’t like it, I’ve had a lot of interns that don’t like it, and they pursue something else.”

  • The Washington Post published "The A$AP Rocky case shows why we should be inspired and troubled by Sweden’s justice system," an essay by Professor of Literature and Creative Writing Doran Larson.

  • A new report, released by the Levitt Center in cooperation with Judge Ralph Eannace of Utica City Court and other public officials, offers proof of the broad community benefits to developing, introducing, and sustaining alternative methods of handling individuals with mental illness in the criminal justice system.

  • Alex Hollister '17 graduated with a major in Economics and double minor in Government and Hispanic Studies. He is currently working as a Survey Research Associate at Mathematica Policy Research in Princeton, New Jersey.

  • Alexa Ashworth graduated Hamilton in 2009 and is now an attorney at IBM.

  • The law firm, Barclay Damon recently announced that Steve Blow ’76, of counsel, has joined the firm. An attorney with nearly 40 years of legal experience, Blow will work out of the firm’s Albany and Syracuse offices.
