  • Climatologist and author Michael Mann, director of Penn State’s Earth System Science Center and co-founder of the award-winning science website RealClimate.org will give a lecture titled “The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars,” based on his book of the same name, on Monday, April 4, at 7 p.m., in the Chapel.

  • Bridget Donlon, curator of “Pure Pulp: Contemporary Artists Working in Paper at Dieu Donné,” currently on view at the Wellin Museum, led a curatorial tour of the exhibit on March 8.  Donlon is program manager at Dieu Donné, a nonprofit organization based in New York City where the emphasis is on works in paper, meaning that paper is not a substrate but rather is the medium itself. 

  • Exhibition curator Bridget Donlon will lead a tour of PurePulp: Contemporary Artists Working in Paper at Dieu Donné,  on Tuesday, March 8, at 4:15 p.m., at the Wellin Museum. Learn about the papermaking process, the artists' various approaches in the studio, and the history of Dieu Donné. 

  • The opening of the Wellin Museum of Art’s two new exhibitions, Yun-Fei Ji:The Intimate Universe and Pure Pulp: Contemporary Artists Working in Paper at Dieu Donné, was attended by a large receptive crowd that included several arts writers. The result has been several articles about the shows in significant arts publications reaching audiences far removed from Clinton, N.Y.

  • The Wellin Museum of Art co-hosted a Chinese New Year celebration with the Wellin Initiative for Student Engagement (WISE), Asian Cultural Society (ACS) and Hamilton American Chinese Exchange (HACE) on Feb. 8 at the Museum.

The college also received broad national media attention most recently with the announcement of its incoming president, David Wippman, via an Associated Press news story.

  • After three years of programming featuring 13 exhibitions, 8 publications, 70 public programs and well over 30,000 visitors, the Wellin Museum of Art can add a new milestone to its roster of accomplishments. The museum will be working with distinguished publisher DelMonico Books/Prestel, a subsidiary of Random House, to co-publish and distribute the museum's forthcoming publications.
