  • On April 6, 120 student-athletes volunteered at 18 different community partners in Clinton, Rome, Utica, and Sauquoit as part of the 2nd Annual SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee)//COOP (Community Outreach and Opportunity Project) Day of Service. The initiative was part of the larger NCAA Division III Week of Service in which groups volunteered at local community partners, including the Thea Bowman House in Utica, and Special Olympics in Rome.

  • Hamilton’s Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center has joined the Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty (SHECP), a collaboration among 26 other colleges and universities that integrates classroom study of poverty with summer internships and co-curricular activities.

  • The Black and Latinx Student Union held its second annual Day of Service on Saturday, Nov. 10. BLSU gathered 17 of its members to volunteer at two local Hamilton community partner organizations: Hope House and Sculpture Space.

  • Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Community Outreach and Opportunity Project (COOP) joined forces this month to volunteer at local organizations for the D-III Week of Service, a conference-wide community service competition. The goal was to gather as many hours of service as possible from April 2 to April 8. Hamilton had 128 athletes participate, and they amassed 300 hours of hands-on volunteer service during the seven-day event.
