The man pauses to ponder a thought and then resumes writing the manuscript that would become the crowning achievement of his life's work.

  • The Shenandoah-Kirkland Initiative hosted the second annual Haudenosaunee Social in the Events Barn on Oct. 12. Approximately 100 students, faculty, staff, and community members attended the hour-long celebration of the day and acknowledgment of the land on Oct. 14.

  • A couple of weeks into his summer research project, David Gagnidze ’20 had attended a social dance and dinner at the Oneida Indian Nation and helped the Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community get ready for its annual Strawberry Festival. Both events unfolded within an easy drive of Hamilton; the College itself is located in the Oneida ancestral homeland.

  • Members of the Oneida Indian Nation of New York joined the Hamilton community to bring awareness to the American Indian experience in an event whose sponsors include the Religious Studies Department, through the dean of faculty.
