What is the best advice one can give to a new student at Hamilton College? This was the open-ended question posed by Dan Chambliss, the Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Sociology at this year’s final installment of the popular “Tell Me What You Know” lecture series hosted by the Emerson Literary Society.

An alumni panel of experts, representing the payer, provider, legal and pharmaceutical perspectives, discussed the Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare, at the 15th Annual 1812 Leadership Circle Weekend in New York on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Music superstar Jon Bon Jovi delighted a sold-out audience of Hamilton alumni, parents and friends who turned out at the Best Buy Theater last night (Dec. 5) for a benefit concert that added new resources for the arts and scholarships at the college.

The entertainer that Forbes ranked as the most charitable celebrity in 2011 will give a benefit concert for the alumni, parents and friends of Hamilton College Jon Bon Jovi and The Kings of Suburbia will perform on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Best Buy Theater in New York’s Times Square. Attendees can expect to hear Jon Bon Jovi hits, as well as classic rock and roll songs. The evening will feature an eclectic set list performed by one of America’s most popular singer-songwriters.
