The performance will feature Hamilton student dancers and choreography by Hamilton faculty Sandra Stanton-Cotter and Paris Wilcox in addition to guest choreographers Chuyun Oh, David Fernandez, and Catherine Wright.

  • It’s no secret that Hamilton students tend to keep busy, balancing extracurricular activities and academic work. Many have found a good way to let off some steam is through various manners of performing. Rehearsal rooms and performance spaces around campus are filled into the wee hours of the morning as students rehearse singing, dancing and other performances. In celebration of these talented student performers, we have compiled a brief round-up of the various performance arts groups on the Hill.

  • When the critically acclaimed modern dance company H.T. Chen & Dancers performed at Hamilton on Nov. 5 some members of the troupe probably looked familiar. Five Hamilton student dancers joined the company in their original performance, which combines traditional Chinese music and Deep South blues to tell the story of immigration and civil rights through a fusion of two cultural styles of dance.

  • Hamilton College Performing Arts presents HT Chen & Dancers in South of Gold Mountain on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 pm in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.

  • Hamilton’s Department of Dance and Movement Studies will present its annual Spring Dance Concert on Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall. The performance will feature student dancers and choreography by Hamilton faculty Sandra Stanton-Cotter, Bruce Walczyk and Paris Wilcox ’95 in addition to guest choreographers Chuyun Oh, Jeremy Raia and Catherine Wright.
