  • Hamilton students recently kicked off their fall semester in New York City by visiting the Whitney Museum's new location in the Meatpacking District. On the guided tour, students witnessed the evolution of American artwork as they traveled from the eighth to fifth floor, which features the most contemporary pieces.

  • Right before Spring Break, members of Hamilton Microfinance  met with Tom Owens, CEO of ACCESS Federal Credit Union in Clinton, to evaluate the application of their second loan candidate this year. The recipient chosen was Joseph Rogers who remarked, “I'm truly thankful for the opportunity to realize the dream of starting and owning my own business.”

  • While most students were studying for exams as the semester came to a close, members of Hamilton Microfinance (HMF) were finalizing their third loan. Building off the momentum from October’s Great Pumpkin Challenge Fundraiser – which raised more than $1000 toward providing small business loans to local entrepreneurs – Hamilton’s micro-lenders identified several potential loan applicants, moving one step closer to achieving their strategic goal of issuing a loan by the end of the semester.

  • Eight students from Hamilton’s microfinance organization attended Lend for America’s 6th Annual Summit at the University of California, Berkeley, on Nov. 15 and 16.

  • This Fallcoming Weekend, the Micro-Finance Club raised more than $1000 via the first-ever Giant Pumpkin Challenge fundraiser.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards providing small business loans to local entrepreneurs.
