Luis Buñuel's final film That Object of Desire (1978) will be presented on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m., in Kirner Johnson Auditorium as part of the film and lecture series, F.I.L.M. (Forum for Images and Languages in Motion).

Buñuel's last film is a comedy about lust and terrorism and is as relevant in our post-9/11 world as it was when it was released. The Spanish director is considered by many as the father of cinematic Surrealism and one of the most original directors in the history of film. He won the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival for his 1950 Mexican film Los Olvidados and the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for Viridiane (1961). He died at the age of 83 on July 29, 1983.
