Maegan Carberry, a well known columnist, blogger, radio show host, and Arianna Huffington's former chief-of-staff for The Huffington Post, ran three workshops for the Hamilton College Media Board on Saturday, Jan. 31.

The first workshop was a generic round-table conversation about how each college media outlet could use new media tools to enhance their publication or broadcast and how each could employ various marketing tools to attract readers and listeners.

The second workshop focused on the Continental, Hamilton's glossy magazine. Carberry worked with the editors of the Continental on the cover design, content suggestions and branding the relatively new publication.

The final workshop was conducted with the editorial board of the weekly campus newspaper, the Spectator. Carberry focused on leadership skills, how to use Twitter and generic advice about careers in journalism.

During her time at Hamilton, Carberry "Tweeted" about it on her Twitter account and also wrote a post on her blog about the visit.
