Associate Professor of Art History Stephen Goldberg was a speaker at Asian Art Study Day in Colgate University's Picker Art Gallery with Colgate professors Padma Kaimal and Robert Hung-Ngai Ho on Saturday, April 12.
Asian Art Study Day offered attendees an opportunity to learn about Asian and Asian-American art in current exhibitions and in the collections of the Picker Art Gallery. Presentations and discussions focused on objects on view in the exhibition "Temple and Tomb: Art of Ancient China" on loan from the Arthur M. Sackler Foundation; a selection of Chinese woodcuts from the 1930s and 1940s from the gallery's permanent collection; and the current exhibition, "Albert Wong: Trompe l'œils."
