L. Vincent Strully Jr. '69 is founder and chief executive officer of The New England Center for Children (NECC), an internationally recognized leader in autism intervention, research and professional development. Vinnie has spent 38 years working with children and adults with autism and related disorders. 

As CEO of NECC, he directs all aspects of clinical and financial administration, program development, fundraising, facility design, and strategic planning. In 2007, Strully was named Ernst & Young's Social Entrepreneur of the Year for New England.

Strully began his career in 1970 as a residential childcare counselor for children with behavior disorders at Vanderheyden Hall in Troy, NY. In 1972, he became one of the six founding teachers for the autism unit at Spaulding Youth Center in Tilton, NH. He helped establish NECC in 1975. Strully is a graduate of Newark Academy and Hamilton College and son of the late Dr. L. Vincent Strully '34. Mr. Strully will be awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
