A group of Hamilton College faculty and administrators presented a case study exercise at the Collaborative Pedagogy and Instructional Design Session of the NorthEast Regional Computing Program (NERCOMP) held in Southbridge, Mass., on Jan.25.  James Helmer, director of the Oral Communication Center; Lynn Mayo, reference librarian; Sharon Werning Rivera, assistant professor of government; and Janet Simons, instructional technology specialist, discussed the election campaign simulation used in Rivera's comparative politics course and helped participants design personalized course projects. The group has been collaborating on this simulation since the summer of 2004, when Rivera received a Class of 1966 Career Development Award from Hamilton to develop the project.
