Derek Jones, the Irma M. and Robert D. Morris Professor of Economics, has co-authored a paper with Colgate professor Takao Kato titled “The Impact of Teams on Output, Quality and Downtime: An Empirical Analysis Using Individual Panel Data.” Published as the lead article in the January 2011 issue of Industrial and Labor Relations Review (ILR Review), the article details the results of the authors’ investigation of “the direct impact of offline teams on productivity in a non-unionized subsidiary of a multinational firm from January 1999 through November 2001” and provides an econometric case study of a firm in New York.
A quarterly journal published by the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, ILR Review “publishes original research by social scientists on all aspects of the employment relationship.”
