La Vanguardia presents "The Poet Daniel," a performance by Daniel José Custódio '00, on Saturday, May 3 at 6 p.m. in Cafe Opus. Custódio, a self-proclaimed "revolutionary poet" who uses his poetry to "uplift and heal those who hear his words." He participated in the PSi national poetry championships in 2006 and 2007, where his poems received special recognition. In the 2008 competition he will represent Slam Nahuatl, a team he founded in honor of his Latino heritage.
