Hamilton College swept all three doubles matches and the Continentals notched their first NESCAC victory with a 6-3 win at Connecticut College’s South Tennis Courts on April 27.

Hamilton (9-9 overall, 1-6 NESCAC) concluded its season with four wins in the final five matches. Hamilton’s previous NESCAC win was against Wesleyan University on April 17, 2011. The nine victories this season are the most for the Continentals since 1995-96. Conn. College's record dipped to 2-11 overall, 0-7 in the NESCAC.

Jon Franzel '13 and Jordan Petit '13 recorded wins in singles and doubles play for Hamilton. Franzel picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at first flight singles and partnered with Ian Antonoff '16 for an easy 8-1 win at third flight doubles. Franzel recorded his 37th career singles victory, which is good for fourth place in team history. His 39 career doubles wins are the most in program history.

Petit cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at third flight singles and teamed up with James Oliver '15 for an 8-6 triumph at first flight doubles. The doubles win was the 37th of Petit’s career, which is second all-time only to Franzel.

Benjamin Stern '16 finished his impressive rookie campaign with a 6-2, 6-2 win at fifth singles. Stern led the team with 14 victories and ended the season on a six-match win streak. Matt Billet '15 and Buck Reynolds '15 squeaked out a 9-7 win at second flight doubles.
