Men's cross country places 3rd in short course invite
Hamilton College's Charles Pfander '16 was the individual winner and the Continentals placed third out of four teams in the 2013 Hamilton Short Course Invitational on Sept. 14.
Pfander claimed his first invitational title with a time of 19 minutes, 12.6 seconds on the 6-kilometer course. Benjamin Yeo '15 finished fifth out of 64 runners in 19:34.2 for the Continentals. Evan Abelson '16 was 18th with a time of 20:24.8 and Jack Moses '16 ended up 23rd in 20:34.7. Daniel Baer '15 rounded out Hamilton's top five in 25th place with a time of 20:38.2.
Rensselaer captured the team title with 28 points, Clarkson University was runner-up with 50 and the Continentals were close behind with 59 points. Le Moyne College landed in fourth place with 120 team points.
Hamilton competes in a meet hosted by Rensselaer on Friday, Sept. 20.
