The Hamilton College Performing Arts Series presents Café Variations  by the seven-time Obie Award-winning SITI Company presents on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

With music by George and Ira Gershwin and text by Charles Mee, Café Variations entwines longing, lost love, found love, and budding romantic adventure with dance, music, and theatre in the social arena where anything can happen: a cafe. There are six actors, and each scene creates a play within the play.

Originally the “Saratoga International Theater Institute,” SITI Company was founded in 1992 by Anne Bogart and Tadashi Suzuki to redefine and revitalize contemporary theater in the United States. Today, it is an an ensemble-based theater company whose three ongoing components are the creation of new work, the training of young theater artists, and a commitment to international collaboration.
