Associate Professor of Government Phil Klinkner wrote an op-ed about Dorie Miller, the black messman who became a hero at Pearl Harbor when he manned a machine gun and shot down two enemy aircraft. Miller was featured in the movie “Pearl Harbor.” The op-ed was published in The Charleston (WV) Gazette.
