
The Hamilton College Sailing Team ventured south last weekend to compete for the second time in the Eckerd Intersectional regatta in Saint Petersburg, Fla. The team, comprised of nearly 30 active intercollegiate sailors, races in both keelboat (Colgate 26 and J-105 class) and dinghy (420 and FJ class) regattas as a member of the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association.
Team members included "A Division" skipper Travis Rosenblatt '11, "B Division" skipper John Tower '09, and crew: Mike Bigwood '10, Nathan Burbank '11, and Kate Adams '12 to race against Salve Regina, Charleston, Miami, Connecticut College, Boston University, USF, Northwestern, Chapman, Fordham, Miami (OH), and host Eckerd in 12 races on March 7 and 8. The team will finish out the season in April by competing in the North Spring Qualifier, MAISA Spring Open, and Navy Small Keelboat Scrimmage.
