Professor of History Thomas Wilson received a Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies from the Center for Chinese Studies at the National Central Library, Taiwan.
Wilson will conduct research on imperial court debates on the emperor’s ritual feasting of Heaven-God for his book, Confucian Gods and the Rites to Venerate Them, this summer. He will also visit temples devoted to Confucius in Taiwan and the PRC and will return to Taiwan for the Autumnal ceremony this September as part of his web-based project on the cult of Confucius.
