ESPN’s Lauren Reynolds ’02 to Moderate Venus Williams’ Great Names Event

So, when it came time to choose a moderator for Hamilton’s next Great Names event with tennis superstar Venus Williams, one name quickly popped up: Lauren Reynolds Nelson ’02.

Legendary tennis champion, author, and entrepreneur Venus Williams will be the next guest in the Sacerdote Great Names series on Thursday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m., in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. They're available now.

Hamilton College has joined College Presidents for Civic Preparedness, a unique consortium designed by the presidents and convened by the Institute for Citizens & Scholars. The group of 61 member institutions from across the country seeks to advance higher education’s pivotal role in preparing students to be engaged citizens and to uphold free expression on campus.

In the spring of 2022, President David Wippman formed the Eells House Committee (EHC) to make recommendations addressing concerns about the depiction of Indigenous Americans and American descendants of slaves on the wallpaper in Hamilton College's Eells House Keehn Dining Room. The committee made several recommendations to President Wippman, which have been accepted.
