Weekly Sunday Protestant Chapel Services

The Protestant Chapel Community gathers for worship every Sunday the college is in session at 4 pm in the chapel. Our worship consists of the following elements: Praise and Worship singing, A speaker who reflects on a biblical text (speakers vary week by week: students, faculty, local clergy and other guests), Community prayer & singing, Communion once a month

Musical Spirituality

We are blessed with the musical leadership of Bob Ford who anchors our Praise and Worship Team. Weekly rehearsals happen on Thursdays at 4 p.m., and at 3:15 p.m. before each Sunday chapel service. We are currently seeking new leadership in our Gospel Choir community to bring Gospel Music back to Hamilton College.

Spiritual Retreats

At least once per semester, a chance to get off-campus in a cabin with a wood-burning stove by a pond to reflect on spiritual life, sacred texts, and deeper connections.

Spiritual Inquiry

A group of students from a range of spiritual backgrounds, exploring ways to deepen faith commitments, theological understandings and community life. One-hour meeting per week on Fridays at 3 p.m.

Individual Study Opportunities

Engage in an independent study – for credit or non-credit – in areas including: Intro to Christian Theology & Creeds, Intro to the Bible (Old & New Testaments), Protestant Religious History in America
