Maintenance Mechanics

Tim Mahay - Supervisor of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems

 

The Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the following:

  • All plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment of the college
  • Heating boilers and related equipment (pumps, tanks, etc.)
  • All kitchen equipment in the dining halls
  • All refrigeration, air conditioning systems, cooling tower, and air purifiers on campus
  • All fire safety systems (alarms and sprinklers)

Carpenters, Painters & Locksmiths

Mark Kinne – Manager of Structural Trades

 

The Carpenters are responsible for general repairs on the entire campus:

  • Doors
  • Windows
  • Roofs
  • Walls
  • Ceilings


The Painters are responsible for day-to-day painting maintenance on the entire campus.


The Locksmiths are responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining keys, locks, and filing cabinet locks
  • Engraving nameplates and signs
  • Installation of panic bars, mortise, cylindrical, deadbolts, and Vantage Point
  • Installing and maintaining comb locks and doors for mail center mailboxes
  • Repairing padlocks

Custodial Operations

Mike Strong – Custodial Operations Manager
Robin Treen - Custodial Operations Supervisor
Patty Critelli - Custodial Operations Supervisor


The Custodians are responsible for the following:

  • Cleaning maintenance in all campus buildings
  • Keeping building entrances and walkways free of ice, snow, and other debris
  • Changing light bulbs, moving furniture, reporting building damage and malfunctions
  • Set-up and breakdown of campus catered functions and special events

Athletic Grounds, Grounds & Fleet Operations

Mike Jasper - Grounds and Fleet Operations Manager

 

Athletic Grounds is responsible for the following:

  • Athletic event setup and event equipment maintenance
  • All athletic fields and golf course
  • Making ice and ice rink support

The Grounds Crew is responsible for the following:

  • Campus turf maintenance
  • Removal and fall leaf cleaning
  • Roads, parking lots and paths
  • Removal of trash and recyclables
  • Campus deliveries for bulk packages
  • Campus events: setup and support
  • Subsurface work on water, drain and sewer lines to repair leaks and clogs, or install new lines

Horticulture & The Root Glen

- Natural Resources Supervisor
Mike Pommerening - Lead Horticulturist

 The Natural Resources Supervisor & Horticulturist are responsible for:

  • Trees, shrubs, turf, and herbaceous plants
  • Managing forest plantation
  • Root Glen maintenance
