Support for Technology in Teaching
by Nikki Reynolds
Are you interested in using technology for one or more projects in your courses this year? Are you wondering what other faculty can possibly being doing with technology in their courses? Just phone 859-4877, email email@example.com or browse the Technology in Teaching Showcase for examples and ideas.
The ITS Educational Technology Services team consists of Ted Fondak, Bret Olsen, Deborah Reichler, Nikki Reynolds, Carl Rosenfield and Janet Simons. Anyone of us can be reached through the x4877 phone number, or the firstname.lastname@example.org email address. Or you can just flag us down as we're walking around campus. We work with the Librarians and others to help you develop meaningful technology-based learning experiences for your students. Depending on the nature of the project, we will provide customized support through the design to the delivery and support of your course projects. The technologies used in past projects have included:
- Large format posters,
- Digital video or audio,
- Geographic information systems,
- Blogs and course websites.
Our goal is to design and deliver projects that provide students with experiences that promote critical thinking, media and information literacy, and strong communication skills.
If you'd like to see some of our past projects, please visit the Technology in Teaching Showcase. In it, we include information about the goals, process, and outcomes of each project, and provide examples of projects that students completed. Please explore the Showcase and contact us at email@example.com if you have any questions or would like to implement a technology-based course project for your students.
