If you receive a message stating that the web-based installation was unsuccessful, perform a manual installation by following the steps below:

NOTE: ONLY ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THE VPN CLIENT WHILE OFF CAMPUS.

When automatic installation fails, you will be presented with a window that has a link to download the VPN client installer to your computer. Click on the Windows 7/Vista/64/XP link and download the file.

Double-click on the downloaded file to begin installation.

On the next screen that appears, click on Run.

Once the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client Setup Wizard appears, click the Next button.

Select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement option and click the Next button.

When prompted with a Ready to Install dialog box, click the Install button.

When the installation has completed, click the Finish button.

Search for the newly installed Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client and launch it.

In the text field, type outside.hamilton.edu and click the Connect button.

Enter your Hamilton network username (do not include @hamilton.edu) and password and click on the OK button to log in.

You can click on the VPN Client icon located on the right side of your screen in the Taskbar Notifications area to verify your connection, or to disconnect when you are finished with your session.
