Opportunity Programs
The Hamilton College Opportunity Programs consists of two academic programs: the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program and the Hamilton College Scholars Program. Both are designed to increase access to higher education for students whose academic profile may differ from the Hamilton profile, but who demonstrate the ability to compete successfully in Hamilton's academically competitive environment with support.
Admission & Application Information
All candidates who wish to be considered for the HEOP/Scholar program must go through the general admission process. At Hamilton, admission decisions for U.S. citizens are made without considering an applicant’s ability to pay. Additionally, Hamilton meets the full demonstrated need of every student it admits.
Summer Program
The five-week summer program introduces students to Hamilton’s academic rigor and assists students in building a personalized foundation for success.
How We Help
Our staff provides academic counseling and personal support to students by helping with curricular choices, bringing academic opportunities to their attention, and aiding in their transition to college life.
The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program and its activities are supported, in whole or in part, by the New York State Department of Education.
