Athletic Grounds

Don Croft, Manager of Grounds
Athletic Grounds is responsible for the following:

  • Athletic event setup and event equipment maintenance
  • All athletic fields and golf course
  • Making ice and ice rink support


Mark Kinne - Manager Carpenters Carpenters are responsible for general repairs on the entire campus: * Doors * Windows * Roofs * Walls * Ceilings

Custodial Services

Custodians are responsible for the following:

  • Cleaning maintenance in all campus buildings
  • Keeping building entrances and walkways free of ice and snow and other debris
  • Changing light bulbs, moving furniture, reporting building damage and malfunctions
  • Set-up and break down of campus catered functions and special events

Electricians & Plumbers

Roger Laliberte, Manager of Technical Trades The electricians and plumbers maintain the following:

  • All plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment of the college
  • Heating boilers and related equipment (pumps, tanks, etc.)
  • All kitchen equipment in the dining halls. All refrigeration, air conditioning systems and cooling towers on campus
  • All fire safety systems (alarms and sprinklers)

Environmental Protection & Safety

The Office of Environmental Protection, Safety & Sustainability (EPS&S) is directly responsible for overseeing Hamilton's various obligations with regard to environmental compliance, and occupational health and safety. EPS&S provides a number of services in support of this charge, including regular training classes, air quality monitoring, technical/regulatory auditing and inspection activities, and other miscellaneous compliance services.

Grounds & Horticulture

The Grounds Crew is responsible for the following

  • Campus turf maintenance
  • Removal and fall leaf cleaning
  • Roads, parking lots and paths
  • Removal of trash and recyclables
  • Campus deliveries for bulk packages
  • Campus events: setup and support
  • Subsurface work on water, drain and sewer lines to repair leaks and clogs, or install new lines
The Horticulture Grounds Crew is responsible for the following:
  • Trees, shrubs, turf, and herbaceous plants
  • Root Glen maintenance
  • Managing forest plantation


The locksmith is responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining keys, locks, and filing cabinet locks
  • Engraving nameplates and signs
  • Installation of panic bars, mortise, cylindrical, deadbolts, and Vantage Point.
  • Installing and maintaining comb locks and doors for mail center mailboxes
  • Repairing padlocks


Painters are responsible for the day-to-day painting maintenance on the entire campus.
