The Andrew F. Crocker '83 Scholarship

The Andrew F. Crocker ’83 Scholarship was established by David H. Morse, Class of 1983.

This fund was initiated in 2011 by David H. Morse, Class of 1983, in support of Hamilton’s need-blind initiative, and in memory of his friend and classmate, Andrew F. Crocker.

Following graduation from Hamilton (where he was a member of the Psi Upsilon fraternity) with a major in government, Andy Crocker’s ventures took him from bartending to solar-panel sales and fine cabinetmaking for yachts in California. After a couple of years, he piloted his Harley-Davidson to Vermont, where he settled for good. He became owner and operator of Vermont Air Cargo, a small firm headquartered at the Burlington International Airport that offered to fly cargo from Burlington to “anywhere.” He next moved on to 20 years with FedEx, becoming a worldwide account manager. He cultivated friendships with clients and business associates around the globe, who came to value his diligence and professionalism as well as his courtesy. Andrew passed away in March 2012.

David Morse was born in Binghamton, New York, and graduated from Hamilton with a B.A., concentration in economics, and went on to earn an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business. On campus, he served as president of Psi Upsilon and was involved in student government. After graduation in 1983, he started his career as an analyst in New York City, before becoming a private equity investor. He and his wife Kimberly have three children including Addison who is a member of the Class of 2016.
