The David S. Lahey Scholarship

The David S. Lahey Scholarship was established by David S. Lahey, Class of 1983, and Patricia-Anne Lahey.

David “Dave”, Class of 1983, and Patricia-Anne “Patty” Lahey established this scholarship during the 2020-2021 Academic Year to take advantage of the MacLennan Match. A native of Nepean, Ontario, Canada, Dave attended Hamilton at the suggestion of Richard Aubry ’75. He majored in Economics, was inducted into the sophomore class and junior class honorary societies DT and Was Los, and played four years of men’s ice hockey, becoming captain his senior year. He encouraged others to attend Hamilton, including Mike Marta ’84, Hamilton’s all-time leading scorer. A consistent donor to the College and a natural leader with a wide circle of friends, Dave has encouraged many Hamilton alumni to contribute to their alma mater. Dave earned an MBA at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, one of Canada’s top five business schools and expresses grateful appreciation to both educational institutions for preparing him for his career. He credits Professor Sidney Wertimer and Hamilton’s commitment to communication for equipping him with the skills to become an expert in his field and publish the book, From Hire to Inspire: How to become the Best Boss. After working at both Microsoft and McBee Systems, Dave founded Predictive Success Corporation, a management consulting company that empowers leaders with the data and skills to maximize their investments in their people and optimize their performance. Headquartered in Whitby, Ontario, with offices across Canada and in Buffalo, NY, Predictive Success Corporation has provided internships to a number of Hamilton College students, some of whom have been hired by the company. Patty, is the Secretary Chairman of Predictive Success and also a teacher and librarian at St. Marks Catholic School in Whitby, Ontario. Dave and Patty have three children, Curtis, Jennifer, and Kelly.
