Jack Withiam, Jr., was born in Elmira, New York and raised in nearby Horseheads, where he dreamed of playing center field for the New York Yankees. An active member of the Psi Upsilon fraternity, Jack graduated from Hamilton in 1971 with concentrations in economics and English. He earned a J.D. from Albany Law School, and then joined Citibank’s Investment Management Division, working as an in-house counsel assisting such big-name clients as Ford, Pfizer, and Lloyds of London.

Jack’s fraternity brother, George “Jeff” Little, also Hamilton Class of 1971, convinced Jack to join Jeff’s family business, in 1978. Jack served George Little Management, LLC, one of the nation’s leading tradeshow producers, in its legal, finance, MIS, and human resources departments, eventually retiring as executive vice president and general counsel. In addition to many other honors, Jack was named to Tradeshow Week’s, “Top 100 Most Influential People in the Tradeshow Business.”

A generous and active alumnus, Jack has volunteered with Admission and the Career Center, served as Chair of the Committee on Development for three capital campaigns, and is a Charter Trustee. When asked where he has made the biggest impact, Jack responded that he has been particularly active in fundraising, which, for him, is more than collecting money, but rather the experience of connecting with alumni, parents, and friends of the College. He and his wife, Lynda Ann, live in Connecticut. They have four children, including Hannah, Hamilton Class of 2016.
