After spending 24 years helping to lead the Seattle (and Washington) clinical and public health response to HIV/AIDS, Dr. Bob Wood retired in 2010 and became volunteer medical director for Compassion & Choices of Washington. Now, his work with compassion takes most of his so-called retirement time, assisting 40 state-wide volunteers, three other medical directors, and serving about 600 clients, 300 of whom died last year.
