  • Several prints by William R. Kenan Professor of Art Bruce Muirhead and Professor of Art William Salzillo are on display at the Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition in Peoria, Ill. Included in the exhibition are Muirhead’s “Secret Viewers” and “Fourth of July,” and “Nightingale” by Salzillo. Organized by Bradley University, the biennial juried show runs through April 15.

  • Bruce Muirhead, the William R. Kenan Professor of Art, recently received an award for one of his two prints chosen for display in the 30th Annual National Print Exhibition at Artlink. The exhibition runs through May 26. Artlink, a not-for-profit contemporary visual arts gallery that showcases the work of emerging and mid-career artists, is located in Fort Wayne, Ind.

  • Curator Jenny Schmid, director of Bikini Press International in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has selected prints by Professors of Art Bill Salzillo and Bruce Muirhead for Sixty Square Inches, the 17th Biennial Small Print Exhibition at Purdue University Galleries. Both professors have been awarded prizes for their work. The show opens on March 8 and closes on April 25.

  • Prints by Professors of Art William Salzillo and Bruce Muirhead have been accepted in the second International Juried Printmaking Exhibition titled “Prints for Peace 09.” The show, which includes works by 280 artists from 48 countries, is open through October in the Gallery Leopoldo Carpinteyro de Cultural in Monterrey, Mexico.

  • Acting Dean of Faculty Patrick D. Reynolds announced the appointment of two of Hamilton's most outstanding teacher-scholars to endowed chairs. Professor of Art Bruce Muirhead was appointed to the William R. Kenan Chair, and Professor of Music Sam Pellman was appointed to the Leonard C. Ferguson Chair. Both are effective July 1.
