Colleagues in the Hamilton College chapter of Sigma Xi recognized service provided by a retiring senior member during the recent initiation dinner at commencement. Professor of Biology Sue Ann Miller has been a member of the society for 44 years since she was inducted as a graduating student having published a book and participated in scientific meetings and panels. Continuous active membership for decades has made her a sustaining member.

Professor of Biology Sue Ann Miller served on the Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) Committee of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, in Research Triangle Park, N.C. Miller has served as an evaluator since 2000 and chaired the committee from 2001 to 2007.

Professor of Biology Sue Ann Miller presented a poster, “Designing Effective Student Presentation Assignments that Include Thoughtful Peer Assessment,” at the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the American Association of Anatomists.

Professor of Biology Sue Ann Miller served on the Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) Committee of Sigma Xi on April 13-14 at the headquarters of The Scientific Research Society in Research Triangle Park, N.C.  

Professor of Biology Sue Ann Miller participated in discussions about mechanisms of development at the Third Symposium on Frontiers in Biomechanics: Mechanics of Development.
