AMY WILLIAMS SCORES 50TH CAREER GOAL IN WIN OVER CONNECTICUT COLLEGE
Hamilton peppered Connecticut netminder Claudia Goodrich with 23 shots in the first period as the Continentals jumped out to an early, 3-0, lead. Connecticut was unable to overcome Hamilton's stifling defense as the Continentals employed a "dump-and-chase" style of hockey over the final two periods. Sophomore Deb Elvin scored the Continentals final two goals, while assists were credited to junior Stacy Tyksinski and Williams on both tallies. Tyksinski finished the day with three assists.
Hamilton netminders Putney Haley and Victoria Hays combined for 25 saves, and Connecticut's Goodrich finished the game with 36 stops.
