A double album titled “Ain’t All About You” by Lecturer in Music (folk guitar) Adam Brooks Dudding received a Sammy Award for “Best Jam Band Recording” at the Syracuse Area Music Awards ceremony on March 3.
According to its website, SAMMY awards are given based on the judgement of submissions sent to the SAMMYS Board by musicians in Syracuse and the surrounding area. One hundred seventy-seven artists submitted 233 recordings. An independent panel of music industry professionals and educators from around the country, led by Syracuse University School of Visual & Performing Arts professor James Abbott, review the submissions and make their selections based on their merit within their genre.
