Don Bogen

Poet Don Bogen will visit Hamilton and read selections from his award-winning poetry on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 8 p.m. in the Fillius Events Barn. The reading is free and open to the public.

 

Bogen is the Nathaniel Ropes Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Cincinnati and serves as poetry editor of The Cincinnati Review. He is the author of four books of poetry, including his most recent work, An Algebra. He is the recipient of a Discovery Award, the Emily Dickinson Award of the Poetry Society of America, and an NEA Fellowship, and spent the spring 2011 semester as a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar in Creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Poetry Center of Queen’s University, Belfast.

 

Bogen’s reading is sponsored by the Dean of Faculty and hosted by the English and Creative Writing Department.
