INTERESTED in learning how to conduct a focus group? This practical,
low-tech, low-cost research technique, long used in marketing and politics,
is increasingly employed in social science research. A focus group workshop,
designed for the uninitiated, is planned for tonight, March 28. It is
open to all interested students, faculty and staff. The 90 minute workshop
will be conducted by two well-qualified researchers: sociologists John Bruhn
(Penn State) and Linda Weber (SUNY-IT Utica/Rome, currently Visiting Fellow
at the Levitt Center).
