Moss, former Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice has returned to the firm as a partner, resident in the Washington, D.C., office... Mr. Moss received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Hamilton College in May 1983 and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from Yale Law School in June 1986, where he served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal. After graduating from law school, Mr. Moss first clerked for Judge Pierre N. Leval of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and then for Associate Justice John Paul Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court.
