The Hamilton College Continentals men's hockey team pulled out a 4-3 overtime win at Salem State College in Salem, MA. The Hamilton victory was head coach Phil Grady's 200th career-win as the Continentals bench boss.

Senior forward Trevor MacArthur (Clifton Park, NY/Northwood Prep) registered one goal and two assists, including help on the game-winner by Tim Canfield (Canton, NY/Taft School) in overtime, to help improve Hamilton's record to 9-7-2.

Junior John Manley (Hyde Park, MA/Noble & Greenough School) also scored a goal and had an assist for the Continentals. Goalkeeper Scott Grenier (E. Taunton, MA/Gov. Dummer Academy) stopped 24 shots to preserve the victory.

Grady, in his 15th season as head coach of the Continentals, now boasts a career record of 200-150-17. He led Hamilton to its first championship last year, defeating Connecticut College, 2-1, in overtime to earn the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East title.

Only one year earlier, Grady mentored the 1996-97 Continentals to a school-high 19 wins, which earned them a number one national ranking for the first time in program history.

Grady, a teacher of hockey for most of his life, stresses fundamentals and discipline in his coaching. A 1970 graduate of Norwich University, he served as an assistant coach at Dartmouth University before assuming his current role as head coach of the Continentals.
