The Hamilton College field hockey team were defeated 2-1 in overtime by SUNY Oswego this evening at Hamilton College.
After a scoreless first half Oswego State got on the board first when Robyn Bramoff (Sag Harbor, NY) scored on a penalty corner. She beat Hamilton goalie Sarah Baldwin (Ithaca, NY) high to the right side, giving the Lakers a 1-0 lead.
Hamilton answered back with 22:44 remaining when Eden Self (Rochester, NY) converted on a penalty corner. Sophomore Heather Pratt Rye, NY) faked the shot and passed over to Self who buried the shot past Oswego's goalie, Tiffani Vattiato (Holtsville, NY).
With 10:52 remaining in the first overtime Oswego tallied the game-winner. Danielle Leffman (Red Hook, NY) beat Baldwin on a nifty pass from Kara Tubbs (Oneida, NY), giving Oswego State the 2-1 victory.
