Marianne Janack
Marianne Janack's paper, "To Philosophize or Not to Philosophize? Rorty's Challenge to Feminists" (" ¿Filosofar o no filosofar? El desafio de Rorty a las feministas") was published in the December, 2008, edition of Ideas y Valores, a journal of philosophy published by the National University of Columbia.

The paper appeared as a special edition of that journal dedicated to the work of Richard Rorty, edited by Eduardo Mendieta of SUNY Stony Brook. In the article, Janack explains why Rorty claims that philosophical argument is unable to bring about political change, and how this connects to his recommendation that feminists give up on appeals to realism, universalism, and truth to ground their arguments against sexist social arrangements. Her book Feminist Interpretations of Richard Rorty, which addresses similar issues, will be published by Penn State University Press in spring, 2010.
