Derek Jones

Professor of Economics Derek Jones presented a keynote address and co-presented a paper at the 18th Conference of International Association for the Economics of Participation (IAFEP) on July 8. The biennial conference was held at the Copenhagen Business School.

Jones’ keynote was titled “The evolution of research in labor management and employee ownership during the last 50 years: An insider’s perspective.”

Jones also co-presented “Complementarities between employee involvement and financial participation: do differing measures, empirical methods, and institutional context matter?” during a session on “Organizational Outcomes.” Presenting with him were Takao Kato of Colgate University, Panu Kalmi of Finland’s University of Vaasa and Mikko Makinen, a senior economist at the Bank of Finland.
