Peter Kosgei '10 won his second straight individual title at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championship as Hamilton College finished in fourth place on its own soggy 8,000-meter course on Nov. 8.

Kosgei dominated the field, winning by 66 seconds with a time of 26:08.5. He was named the NYSCTC Outstanding Runner of the Year and became the second Hamilton men's runner to win the state meet two years in a row. Kosgei has now won 17 of 18 cross country races for Hamilton. He finished second at the 2007 NCAA Division III championship.

crossed the finish line next for Hamilton in 25th place with a time of 28:09.7. Devon Lynch '11 was close behind in 29th place in 28:17.3. Kevin Kerr '10 finished 34th in 28:29.9 and Scott Bickard '11 rounded out the Continental top five in 38th place with a time of 28:37.

Hamilton finished with 122 points. The University of Rochester topped the 10-team field with 53. Hamilton will travel to St. Lawrence University on Saturday, Nov. 15, to compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional championship.
